Softball Recap: Lakeside Victorious

Lakeside won the last time they faced Parkway and things went their way on Saturday too. The Warriors walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Panthers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Ella Wood spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Raleah Harris, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rhea Waller, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Lakeside kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2025.

Lakeside's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Parkway, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Lakeside will be playing in front of their home fans against Stanley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Parkway, they will venture away from home to square off against Converse at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday.
