Softball Game Preview: Vallejo Redhawks vs. Bethel Jaguars

The Vallejo Redhawks will challenge the Bethel Jaguars at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Vallejo will be strutting in after a win while Bethel will be coming in after a loss.

Last Monday, Vallejo got the win against Emery by a conclusive 17-4. The matchup marked the Redhawks' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Vallejo saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nayely Esquibel, who scored three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another was Amayah Davis, who scored three runs while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, Bethel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 23-1 to Fairfield. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Jaguars couldn't push the score so high this time.

The win got Vallejo back to even at 3-3-1. As for Bethel, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5-1.

Vallejo took their victory against Bethel when the teams last played back in February by a conclusive 27-17. Does Vallejo have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bethel turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
