North Iredell won the last time they faced Statesville and things went their way on Monday too. The Raiders were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over the Greyhounds. Considering the Raiders have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Thomas Shumaker was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jay Brookshire, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

North Iredell always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Statesville only posted an OBP of .176.

North Iredell's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Statesville, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
