Plainfield had won two straight games and Noah Smith did his part to make it three on Saturday. The Plainfield Quakers walked away with a 51-38 win over the Lebanon Tigers thanks in part to Smith, who went 7 of 11 en route to 21 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in February of 2024.
The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Barton, who posted nine points. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.
Lebanon's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jack Ferrell, who scored 11 points. Wesley Byrd was another key player, putting up ten points.
Plainfield is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.6 points per game. As for Lebanon, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Plainfield will face off against Terre Haute North Vigo at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Terre Haute North Vigo will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Plainfield surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lebanon, they will take on Speedway at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
