Basketball Game Preview: Atascocita Eagles vs. Summer Creek Bulldogs

Atascocita is 1-9 against Summer Creek since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Atascocita Eagles will look to defend their home court against the Summer Creek Bulldogs at 1:00 p.m.

Last Wednesday, Atascocita came up short against King and fell 51-42. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 345th, while the Panthers are ranked 68th).

Meanwhile, Summer Creek waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They breezed by the Falcons to the tune of 77-16. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 22 points or more this season.

Summer Creek has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Atascocita, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-13.
