Softball Game Preview: Tomales Braves vs. Laytonville Warriors

The Tomales Braves will face off against the Laytonville Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tomales will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.

On Friday, Tomales made easy work of Technology and carried off a 23-10 victory. The Braves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by 13 runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Laytonville came up short against Credo on Friday, falling 27-13. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (11), the Warriors still had to take the loss.

Brigid Henry was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Henry is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least two every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Kylie Neuroth, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Laytonville dropped their record down to 3-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Tomales, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.
