Basketball Game Preview: South Barber Chieftains vs. Pretty Prairie Bulldogs

The South Barber Chieftains are taking a road trip to challenge the Pretty Prairie Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with South Barber sitting on three straight victories and Pretty Prairie on six.

South Barber will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Stafford, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. South Barber walked away with a 40-27 win over Stafford on Friday.

Meanwhile, Pretty Prairie hadn't done well against Central Christian recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Pretty Prairie put the hurt on Central Christian with a sharp 53-33 victory.

Pretty Prairie pushed their record up to 10-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points over those games. As for South Barber, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.

South Barber took their win against Pretty Prairie when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 59-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for South Barber since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
