Eunice had already won 24 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it 25 on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Texico Wolverines as they made off with a 12-2 victory. Considering the Cardinals have won 16 matchups by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Elijah Melancon looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Randy Gallegos, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Isaac Morales was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Eunice's record is now 25-1. As for Texico, they dropped their record down to 10-12 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
