Softball Recap: Mt. Baker Comes Up Short

Mt. Baker came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-4 to the Lynden Lions. The Mountaineers have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Mt. Baker's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Lynden, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Baker will square off against Squalicum at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lynden, they will take on Blaine at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Borderites will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
