Volleyball Recap: Oxbridge Academy Comes Up Short

Oxbridge Academy came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Miami Country Day Spartans. If the ThunderWolves were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Spartans when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-19, 25-11.

Jessica Jerabek paced Oxbridge Academy's offense, picking up 11 kills. Jerabek got some help from Julia Fagan and her nine assists. Olivija Kozul controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Oxbridge Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Miami Country Day, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Oxbridge Academy and Jupiter Christian will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Miami Country Day, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Lourdes Academy on the 9th.
