Basketball Recap: Seven Straight Home Victories for Marshall

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Esko, Marshall was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They secured a 51-47 W over the Proctor Rails. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hilltoppers also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Marshall pushed their record up to 5-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.1 points per game. As for Proctor, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-6.

Coincidentally, Marshall and Proctor will both be playing Denfeld the next time they take the court. Proctor will host Denfeld at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Marshall will host them at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
