Football Recap: Vista PEAK Prep Takes a Loss

Vista PEAK Prep lost against Erie back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bison were dealt a 61-34 defeat at the hands of the Tigers. The Bison were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-21.

Canaan Barthlow and Isaiah Watson certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Barthlow threw for 360 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.0 yards per attempt, while Watson picked up 197 receiving yards and four scores. With that strong performance, Watson is now averaging an impressive 107.6 receiving yards per game.

Vista PEAK Prep is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4. As for Erie, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Vista PEAK Prep is set to challenge their familiar foe Horizon at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Erie will square off against rival Mullen at 6:30 p.m. on the 17th.
