Basketball Recap: Lunenburg Central Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Lunenburg Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the Nottoway Cougars by a score of 70-59 on Thursday. This was payback for the Chargers, who suffered a 54-43 loss the last time these two teams met.

Lunenburg Central's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Nottoway, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Lunenburg Central and Banner Christian will round out the year against one another at at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lunenburg Central knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Banner Christian likes a good challenge. As for Nottoway, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Prince Edward County at 7:45 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
