New Hampton had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Charles City Comets, sneaking past 10-8. That's the fifth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 4-2 victory two weeks ago.

New Hampton's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 24-7. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for Charles City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-21.

New Hampton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 6-1 loss against Denver on the 1st. As for Charles City, they have also already played their next game, a 12-1 defeat against Decorah-North Winneshiek on the 1st.
