Recap: Lakeside Panthers vs. Glynn Academy Terrors
The Lakeside Panthers were the 73-61 winner over the Glynn Academy Terrors when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. Lakeside fell 72-62 to Glynn Academy on Saturday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Ty Jones and Bryce Reynierson certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Jones scored 19 points, while Reynierson dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Reynierson has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mi?keal Grissom, who scored 15 points.
Lakeside has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for Glynn Academy, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakeside will take on Effingham County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Effingham County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 217th, while Lakeside is ranked 107th). As for Glynn Academy, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Grovetown at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th.
