Volleyball Recap: Plainview-Elgin-Millville Takes a Loss

Plainview-Elgin-Millville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Rushford-Peterson Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Plainview-Elgin-Millville was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-15, 25-17.

Their offense was headlined by Ryla Meyer and Willow Tlougan, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Mayah Ennis and her eight assists. Braelyn Rinn-Johnson controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Plainview-Elgin-Millville's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Rushford-Peterson, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-2.

Coming up, Plainview-Elgin-Millville will venture away from home to face off against Lake City at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rushford-Peterson, they will welcome Goodhue at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
