It was a good run, but Foothill unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Las Lomas Knights by a score of 2-1. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2021.

Foothill's loss dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Las Lomas, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-5.

Foothill and Las Lomas should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Falcons (ranked 79th) will meet Dublin (ranked 660th) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Las Lomas will take on Berean Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (87 vs. 385).
