Baseball Recap: Redwood Giants vs. Terra Linda Trojans
Redwood had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They blew past the Terra Linda Trojans 14-0. With that win, the Giants brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Matthew Knauer tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Ethan Ferry was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaelin Christman, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Redwood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .524. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Terra Linda only posted an OBP of .261.
Redwood's record is now 11-6-1. As for Terra Linda, they dropped their record down to 3-12 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Redwood will host Tamalpais at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Giants 3.1, the Red Tailed Hawks 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Terra Linda, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Piner at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
