North Eugene skates past Mountain View with ease

Recap: North Eugene Highlanders vs. Mountain View Cougars

The North Eugene Highlanders waltzed into their contest Friday with five straight wins but they left with six. They breezed by Mountain View at home to the tune of 73-43. That looming 73-43 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for North Eugene yet this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Eugene to victory, but perhaps none more so than India Mohiuddin, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Banry, who scored 14 points along with six assists.

North Eugene's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for Mountain View, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

North Eugene won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Caldera at 2:00 p.m. on December 16th. Caldera has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 243 points over their last four matchups.
