Baseball Recap: Marlboro Comes Up Short

Marlboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cranford Cougars.

Marlboro's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Cranford, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-3.

Looking ahead, Marlboro will square off against Rumson-Fair Haven at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cranford, they will challenge New Providence at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
