Football Game Preview: Winslow Township Eagles vs. Camden Panthers

Winslow Township and Camden are an even 3-3 against one another since November of 2016, but not for long. The Eagles will face off against the Panthers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Winslow Township is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Jersey's top teams: Millville, who was ranked 19th at the time (Winslow Township was ranked fourth). The Eagles blew past the Thunderbolts 49-6 on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Thunderbolts: they've now won three in a row.

Jalen Parker was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 274 yards and four touchdowns. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024. Nakeem Powell was Parker's top target, picking up 15 receiving yards and one score, while also rushing for 37 yards and a pair of TDs.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Winslow Township, adding 13 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Karon Ceaser, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Winslow Township didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Erik Worley and Benjamin Carter Jr.

Meanwhile, Camden narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Rancocas Valley 8-6. Those eight points were actually the fewest the Panthers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Camden's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Winslow Township, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Everything came up roses for Winslow Township against Camden in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 40-6 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
