Basketball Game Preview: Ashbrook Greenwave vs. Stuart W. Cramer Storm

The Ashbrook Greenwave just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Stuart W. Cramer Storm at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Ashbrook is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Huss just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Thursday. They were dealt a 61-30 loss at the hands of the Huskies. The game marked the Greenwave's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Stuart W. Cramer unfortunately witnessed the end of their 11-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 61-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Huss.

Ashbrook will have to contain Oshauna Holland as she made an impact in Stuart W. Cramer's last game. She dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 boards. Holland's evening made it 23 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hadley Womack, who posted 12 points and four steals.

Even though they lost, Stuart W. Cramer was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Huss only racked up five assists.

Stuart W. Cramer's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 14-2. As for Ashbrook, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.

Ashbrook came up short against Stuart W. Cramer when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 70-61. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Holland, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 11 rebounds.
