Recap: West Scranton Invaders vs. Mid Valley Spartans
The West Scranton Invaders lost against the Mid Valley Spartans back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. West Scranton fell just short of Mid Valley by a score of 43-40. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points West Scranton has scored all season.
Mid Valley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Richard Vinansky out in front who scored 13 points along with five rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Vinansky has scored at least 25% of Mid Valley's points. Jakob Lesher was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
West Scranton now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Mid Valley, their win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2.
West Scranton and Lackawanna Trail will round out the year against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at. Lackawanna Trail is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Mid Valley, they will take on Valley View at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Valley View will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
