Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Central walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 16-6 margin over the Silverton Foxes on Friday. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 games by six runs or more this season.

The victory was the sixth in a row for Central, bringing their record up to 23-8. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Silverton, they moved to 21-12 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Central will take on Ridgeview on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 3.5, the Ravens 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. Silverton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
