There's no place like home for Topsail, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Cape Fear Academy Hurricanes on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for Topsail, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Ben Moore, which was the first he's scored this season.

Topsail is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-1-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four matchups. As for Cape Fear Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2-1.

Topsail wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 4-3 loss against Dixon on the 28th. As for Cape Fear Academy, they will challenge New Hanover at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
