Maddex Taylor made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in both of his plate appearances with four stolen bases.

Mooresville Christian dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Monrovia, their win bumped their record up to 8-9.
