Soccer Game Preview: North Stokes vs. Starmount

The North Stokes Vikings will challenge the Starmount Rams at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

North Stokes is headed into Tuesday's match following a draw, the team's first since April 9. Neither they nor Elkin could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw. North Stokes had to tread lightly for part of the contest as Alexis Aaron and Taylor James were both handed yellow cards, which could explain the final result.

Meanwhile, Starmount waltzed into their game on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Cardinals. The game was the first time Starmount have beaten East Wilkes on their pitch since April 12, 2022.

North Stokes' draw gives them a new season record of 8-3-4. As for Starmount, their win bumped their record up to 9-6-1.
