Volleyball Game Preview: Poca Dots vs. Point Pleasant Big Blacks

The Poca Dots will challenge the Point Pleasant Big Blacks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Poca is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of West Virginia's top teams: Tyler, who was ranked 24th at the time (Poca was ranked 21st). The Dots walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Knights on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Point Pleasant had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 2-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Point Pleasant was: they took both sets by at least 14 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-11.

Poca's win bumped their record up to 30-5-5. As for Point Pleasant, their victory bumped their record up to 13-16-1.
