Softball Recap: Southwestern Takes a Loss

Southwestern was the 8-5 winner over Switzerland County when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Rebels lost 20-5 to the Pacers on Monday. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rorie Scroggins made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

Southwestern's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Switzerland County, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Looking ahead, Southwestern will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Jac-Cen-Del at 5:30 p.m. The Rebels are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Switzerland County, they will head out to challenge Rising Sun at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
