Volleyball Recap: Dani Currie and Emmalie Yobe Secure Win for Sharon

Sharon hadn't done well against Grove City recently (they were 0-7-1 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Tigers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Eagles, sneaking past 3-2. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Sharon was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 25-16, 13-25, 21-25, 25-14, 16-14.

Sharon was led to victory by Emmalie Yobe and Dani Currie. Yobe had 29 assists and 15 digs, while Currie had 20 digs, six kills, and three aces. Yobe is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 14 every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Addie McFann, who had 16 digs and one assist.

The win made it two in a row for Sharon and bumps their season record up to 8-4-1. As for Grove City, their defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-8.

Sharon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Sharpsville on the 30th. As for Grove City, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Titusville on the 30th.
