Softball Recap: McCurdy Takes a Loss

McCurdy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Mora Rangers, falling 24-14. Even if the Bobcats couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

McCurdy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Mora, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-8.

Coming up, McCurdy will challenge Jemez Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warrior have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 23.17 runs per game on average), something the Bobcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Mora, they are taking a road trip to challenge Tucumcari at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rangers will need to watch out since the Rattlers have now posted at least ten runs in their last six contests.
