Basketball Recap: Weehawken Comes Up Short

Weehawken has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 68-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lyndhurst Golden Bears on Friday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Indians came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th, while the Golden Bears are ranked 176th).

Weehawken's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-2. As for Lyndhurst, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-5.

Weehawken has already played their next game (against McNair Academic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lyndhurst has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against North Arlington.
