Softball Recap: Kearns Takes a Loss

Kearns lost against Cyprus back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Kearns came up short against Cyprus, falling 7-1. The match marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Rami Hasna made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. That stolen base was her first of the season.

Kearns has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. Cyprus' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-5.

Coming up, Kearns will venture away from home to take on Taylorsville at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Kearns' pitchers better be ready for this one: Taylorsville has averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Cyprus, they will square off against Grantsville at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
