Soccer Recap: Canyon del Oro Comes Up Short

Canyon del Oro and Cienega squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Canyon del Oro had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Cienega Bobcats by a score of 2-1. The Dorados have struggled against the Bobcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Canyon del Oro's goal came courtesy of Zoey Gist, who's now up to 22 this season.

Canyon del Oro's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Cienega, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Canyon del Oro does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cienega, they will square off against Desert Mountain at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
