Baseball Recap: Mountain View Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Mountain View Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 10-2 to the Bethel Christian Academy Crusaders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 16-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Mountain View Christian Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaxon Spencer, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Spencer is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Mountain View Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Bethel Christian Academy, the win (which was their fifth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain View Christian Academy will face off against Lake Lure Classical Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bethel Christian Academy, they will square off against IC Imagine at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
