While Portsmouth Christian Academy's win against Franklin wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Tornadoes 6-5. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Tornadoes recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Logan Summers was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Landon Hasty was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Cai Summers, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and one run.

Portsmouth Christian Academy's record now sits at 8-2. As for Franklin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Portsmouth Christian Academy will face off against Farmington at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Franklin, they will square off against Mascenic Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Tornadoes' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
