Volleyball Recap: Affton Takes a Loss

Affton lost against St. Charles back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cougars fell 2-0 to the Pirates.

While Affton ultimately came up short, they really made St. Charles work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-18.

Elli Casey paced Affton's offense, picking up four kills. Casey got some help from Lydia Hausman and her ten assists. Finally, Casey was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Affton's loss dropped their record down to 2-2-1. As for St. Charles, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Affton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Ladue Horton Watkins on the 13th. As for St. Charles, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Burroughs on the 13th.
