Basketball Recap: Robinson Takes a Loss

Robinson lost against Marshall back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Robinson Maroons took a 56-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marshall Lions. While losing is never fun, the Maroons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 571st, while the Lions are ranked 261st).

Robinson's loss dropped their record down to 4-23. As for Marshall, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season.

Coming up, Robinson won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against La Salette Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Marshall, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Lions challenge the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Marshall is facing Richland County at the right time seeing as Richland County is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
