Recap: Del Mar Dons vs. Prospect Panthers
The Del Mar Dons entered their tilt with the Prospect Panthers with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Del Mar came out on top against Prospect by a score of 42-31 on Friday. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
It was another big night for Andre Latimore, who rushed for 351 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 20.6 yards per carry, and also threw for 61 yards and a touchdown on only three passes. Latimore hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for eight straight games.
Del Mar's win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.0 points per game. As for Prospect, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-2.
Del Mar does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Prospect also has no future games currently scheduled.
