Basketball Recap: Tekamah-Herman Drops Highest Score of Season Against Schuyler

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tekamah-Herman). They enjoyed a cozy 65-47 victory over the Schuyler Warriors on Thursday. With that win, the Tigers brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.

Tekamah-Herman got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sam Oligmueller out in front who went 8 of 12 on his way to 20 points and five rebounds. Those 20 points gave Oligmueller a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Griffin Breckenridge, who posted 14 points and seven rebounds.

Tekamah-Herman was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Ronaldo Garcia and Diego Castro certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Garcia had 11 points and five rebounds, while Castro almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 14 boards.

The win was the third in a row for Tekamah-Herman, bringing their record for this year to 3-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Schuyler, their defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Tekamah-Herman didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 58-44 loss against Logan View/Scribner-Snyder on the 19th. As for Schuyler, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 72-56 defeat against Shelby-Rising City on the 17th.
