For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Cooper and Tomball Kings meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. Cooper fell just short of Tomball Kings by a score of 13-12. One positive for the Dragons, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Cooper's loss dropped their record down to 3-8-1. As for Tomball Kings, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-12-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cooper will face off against Kinkaid at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kinkaid's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Cooper's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Tomball Kings, they will square off against Covenant Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
