Basketball Game Preview: Circle Christian Centurions vs. Marathon Dolphins

After both having extra time off, the Circle Christian Centurions and the Marathon Dolphins will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Circle Christian is looking for their season's first win.

Last Thursday, Circle Christian came up short against Elite Prep Academy and fell 54-42. The Centurions were down 47-25 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, Marathon had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They snuck past Coral Shores with a 59-55 victory last Saturday.

Marathon's win came from a few key players Circle Christian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Briggs Roberts, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 14 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Koler, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 16 points.

Marathon's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Circle Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
