Football Recap: Centreville Academy Skates Past Canton Academy with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Centreville Academy). They blew past the Canton Academy Panthers 44-14 on Friday. Considering the Tigers have won three contests by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Centreville Academy and bumps their season record up to 4-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 28 points in those games. As for Canton Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Coming up, Centreville Academy will head out to take on Central Private at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Canton Academy, they will challenge Winston Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will be up against the Patriots' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
