Preview: North Hollywood vs. Arleta
North Hollywood has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on Arleta at 2:30 p.m. on Monday.
Even though North Hollywood has not done well against Chavez recently (they were 0-8-1 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. North Hollywood had just enough and edged Chavez out 1-0.
North Hollywood's one-goal win came courtesy of
James Travers, who's now up to two this season.
Meanwhile, Arleta's last matchup on Friday was all defense as neither team scored a goal. Arleta and Poly played to a 0-0 draw, good for one point each. The result kept Arleta happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 8th.
North Hollywood is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3-2 record this season. Arleta's draw gives them a new season record of 6-7-5.
North Hollywood skirted past Arleta 2-1 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Hollywood since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
