Football Recap: Lafayette Comes Up Short

After flying high against Henry Clay last Friday, Lafayette came back down to earth. The Generals took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tates Creek Commodores on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Generals in their meetings with the Commodores: they've now lost five in a row.

Lafayette's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Tates Creek, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lafayette is set to square off against their familiar foe Paul Laurence Dunbar at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Tates Creek will take on rival Henry Clay on Friday.
