Fisher was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from 11th to ninth in Heart of Illinois. The Bunnies vanquished the Bunnies 60-6 earlier in the week.
Ridgeview moved up to 217 from 291 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. A 57-20 win over Deer Creek-Mackinaw helped the Mustangs improve their standing.
Flanagan/Woodland's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Alec Dutko threw for 120 and two touchdowns and Kody Appel had 63 yards receiving. On the ground Appel chipped in 162 yards. Alex Erschen helped Flanagan/Woodland's passing attack out by catching four balls for 52 yards.
Flanagan/Woodland's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Falcons feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Dutko has thrown for 431 yards and six touchdowns this season, while Erschen has seven catches for 204 yards. Appel leads the league in rushing with 647 yards.
A big matchup in Heart of Illinois this week will be when Lexington takes on Tri-Valley. At the moment, the Minutemen are in 11th, while the Vikings are in first.
Tri-Valley extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Fisher, 60-6. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
