Baseball Recap: Hartselle Takes Down Ranked Clarksville

Hartselle is ranked highly in their home state and on Thursday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Clarksville. Hartselle skirted past Clarksville 4-2. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Hartselle's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Clarksville, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hartselle will head out to take on St. Edward at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Clarksville, they will face off against Fairview at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
