            Wicomico has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They lost  73-50 to the Cape Henlopen Vikings on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states  (they are ranked 75th in Maryland, while the Vikings are ranked ninth in Delaware).

When it comes to explaining why Wicomico lost, don't look at  Se'Lah Foreman. Despite the final result, she  posted 24 points and six  boards. The  contest was  Foreman's eighth in a row with at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was  Carlisa Johnson, who  earned 12  points and three  steals.
 Even though they lost, Wicomico  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 12  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least 11  offensive boards in four consecutive  matchups.
 Cape Henlopen got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Hayden Hudson out in front who  dropped  a double-double with 20 points and 12  rebounds. Thanks to that strong game,  Hudson now owns an excellent 45.2%  field goal percentage.  Faith Re was another key player,  putting up 21  points along with six  boards and three  blocks.
The  defeat was their first  on the road , dropping their record down to 17-4. As for Cape Henlopen, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.
 Coming up, Wicomico will square off against Bennett at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Cape Henlopen, they have already played their next game,  an  83-67  win against Polytech on the 19th.
