Basketball Game Preview: Belen Eagles vs. Goddard Rockets

Belen hasn't had much luck against Goddard recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The two teams will round out the year against one another at 2:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Belen saw some tournament action on Saturday. They were dealt a 62-28 loss at the hands of Grants. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Eagles have suffered against the Pirates since February 1, 2022.

Danilynn Bob put forth a good effort for the losing side as she went 6-for-13 to rack up 14 points.

Meanwhile, Goddard didn't have quite enough to beat Santa Fe on Saturday and fell 45-42.

Goddard's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Belen, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Belen lost to Goddard on the road by a decisive 47-32 margin in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Thankfully for the Eagles, Addycen Luck (who shot 67% from the field on her way to 18 points and six rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
