Basketball Game Recap: Chase Kats vs. Western Plains Bobcats

The Chase Kats kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They were dealt a 47-15 defeat at the hands of Western Plains.

Luke Miller was Chase's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Layton Winkelman held things down on the boards with 13 rebounds. Winkelman took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with a assist.

Chase's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Western Plains, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

Chase will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Cunningham at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Cunningham focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday. Western Plains will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pawnee Heights on December 12th.
